Say you are having a party and want endless hours of music. The perfect solution is a cd or two full of mp3's. Most new DVD / CD players can read these mp3 cd's and play them, which is very nice. But most however cannot play them in random order. The result is the mp3's being played in alphabetical order, which if you have many songs from the same bands, can be very repetive and boring. Randomnamer solves this problem by allowing you to burn your mp3's (or any other type of file, at that) in random order (see example on webpage). This program will add a numerical prefix to the name of all of the files in its directory of a specified extention. It traverses from 0 to the number of files, and assigns a randomly selected file to the current number. The result is the files in a random order. Plus, Randomnamer works with any file extention!
