WinDefender is a program that allows you to secure and protect your confidential data, your files and folders in your computer. WinDefender will help you keep your confidential information on your Windows 95/98 computers more safe and more secure. WinDefender provides you with a service to keep your valuable files encrypted on your hard drive. When you want to use them you enter the password and then WinDefender will automatically decrypt them when reading from the hard drive (floppies, cd-rom, ...) and encrypt them when writing to. This will occur absolutely transparently for you! To begin to work with your encrypted files, all you need is to start WinDefender and enter the password. You will be able to set access rights for any folder or file in the system (for example, you can allow only reading the files from the folder but not writing or deleting. You can hide a folder on the hard drive so no one else will be able to see it).
